Role Overview
As a Mobile Lab Technician at GoExceed, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cellular account management services. You’ll be responsible for handling various tasks related to mobile devices, including receiving, deploying, kitting, staging, repairs, recycling, and asset management. If you’re detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about providing excellent service to our clients, we’d love to have you on our team!
Responsibilities
Device Receiving and Inspection
- Receive incoming mobile devices (phones, tablets, etc.) from clients or carriers.
- Inspect devices for physical damage, functionality, and completeness.
Device Deployment and Kitting
- Prepare devices for deployment by configuring settings, installing necessary software, and ensuring they are ready for use.
- Assemble device kits (including accessories, manuals, and SIM cards) for clients.
Staging and Activation
- Set up devices with appropriate user profiles, applications, and security settings.
- Activate devices on cellular networks and troubleshoot any activation issues.
Repairs and Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues on mobile devices.
- Collaborate with technical support teams to resolve complex problems.
Asset Management
- Maintain accurate records of all devices in inventory.
- Track device movements, upgrades, and replacements.
- Assist with device audits and inventory reconciliation.
Recycling and Disposal
- Properly dispose of outdated or non-functional devices following environmental guidelines.
- Coordinate with recycling partners to ensure responsible disposal.
Client Support
- Provide excellent customer service to clients regarding device-related inquiries.
- Assist with device setup, troubleshooting, and user training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Apple Certified iOS Technician) preferred.
- Experience in mobile device repair, deployment, or technical support.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
